P298 Gastroenterology services for patients with cystic fibrosis across Australia and New Zealand: a multi-stakeholder assessment of patients’ and professionals’ perspectives

Gastrointestinal symptoms are common in individuals with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and can be a barrier to achieving optimal nutritional status. International research has highlighted that gastrointestinal care for this group of patients is lacking. However, gastroenterology services CF clinics across Australasia yet examined. This study aimed describe the current service delivery model identify areas improvement. Three separate stakeholder groups were surveyed gather their opinions on aspects provided region. 1. clinicians (dietitians, clinical nurse consultants, respiratory consultants) from Australia New Zealand 2. gastroenterologists (CF GI) 3. Patients or carers Australia. Data exported SPSS 27.0 analysed using descriptive statistics (frequencies percentages). Likert scale questions by grouping responses 1–5 6–10, presented alongside median interquartile range (IQR). Mann-Whitney U chi-square tests used look at differences between groups. 103 Clinicians, 54 Gastroenterologists 159 completed survey.
